Why Sam Lesser Photography?
Because when asked my hobbies, my answer is “my job.” I love what I do. I started shooting weddings less than a year after graduating with a degree in Photography. Since 2015, I’ve captured over 300 weddings. However, I only do a handful of my own weddings each year, so you’ll get my full attention before, during, and after your wedding. You won’t get lost in the shuffle. You’ll often catch me searching for the perfect angle, lighting, or location. I’m always trying to capture the best possible photo for my clients.
My background in live concert photography has taught me to always be ready to adapt and capture the once in a lifetime moment in all different kinds of settings. I love experimenting with lighting and new techniques. In this industry, I believe you should always be learning. That includes learning about your clients. I want to capture your love & memories in a way that represents who you are as a couple.
As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I prioritize creating an inclusive environment that accommodates everyones needs. It’s important to feel safe with your photographer, especially on one of the most important days of your life. As a generally reserved, laid back person I will go with the flow of the day. I won’t force you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Before the wedding I’ll create a detailed timeline to gather all the information I need because my goal is to make your special day easier and never add any stress!
Most weekends you’ll find me shooting weddings & events, but my five years of experience in childcare combined with my passion for photography helps me capture your family’s memories too. I’ll help create portraits you’ll treasure for years to come. My goal is to start out as your wedding photographer, but remain a lifelong friend!
I live in Bayshore, NY with my girlfriend, our pomeranian, & our tabby cat. When I’m not shooting, I’m spending time with them and still love attending concerts.

Photoshoots start at $400 and I’ve created an affordable base wedding package with everything you should need! This package starts at $2095 and includes up to 10 hours of service. Then you have the option to customize it with some add-ons. I know every couple is unique, so please reach out to discuss the perfect package for you!
